“Trinkwasserspender” on Helvetiaplatz in Bern, to the left of the entrance to the Historical Museum, is made of metal. It was produced after 1885 by the machine factory Bopp & Reuther in Mannheim. The firm had been founded in 1872 by Carl Reuther and Carl Bopp to make fittings for water, gas and steam. Its first workshop was set up in the Neckarstadt district of Mannheim. The designer of the fountain is unknown.
