Background
The untitled work by Peter von Wattenwyl, made in 1977, consists of six metal panels on the facade of the library in the Kleefeld school building, Mädergutstrasse 52, in Bern. Peter von Wattenwyl (1942–2014) was a self-taught sculptor and painter who left the Gymnasium early to work as an independent artist. His circle of friends included Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely and Bernhard Luginbühl. No further documented details about the panels themselves are yet available.
