Background
Zimoun’s untitled work (“ohne Titel”, 2015) at the Schulhaus Sulgenbach, Eigerstrasse 38a, in Bern consists of several installations, among them a vibrating stair step and an experiment box. Zimoun was born in Bern in 1977 and lives there. He uses the principles of rotation and oscillation to set objects in motion so that they produce sound. He mainly works with simple, everyday and industrial materials such as cardboard, DC motors and cables. He often combines a large number of identical elements into a single installation.
