Join in: report errors, suggest places, set a status

Bärn Kit gets better when people on site say what is right and what isn't. There are three ways to do that, all without an account.

“Something wrong?”

You'll find the button at the end of most apps and in the pop-ups of the map points. You pick what's up, such as “Information wrong”, “Something missing” or “Damaged”, and add a few words if you like. The report only goes to Bärn Kit, without your name and without your location. In the maps you can attach a photo. Your phone makes it smaller and removes the location data. Please don't photograph people, faces or number plates. The photo is deleted after 90 days. In acute danger: police 117, fire brigade 118, ambulance 144.

Status with one tap

In some maps, a point's pop-up asks: “What's it like here right now?” For a fountain you tap, for example, “Water is flowing” or “No water”, for a book exchange cabinet “Full” or “Empty”, for a barbecue spot “No wood”. Everyone sees the last reported status, without guarantee. You can report the same place at most once an hour.

Suggest an artwork

In Kunst in Bern there is a “Suggest a place” button. The middle of the map counts as the location. You write what it is and can attach your own photo. Every suggestion is checked by hand before it appears on the map.
