How it works

1. At the top, switch the categories farm shop, café and restaurant on or off.
2. Tap “Nearest place” (Nächster Ort). The app shows the nearest place and the walking route with walking time.
3. Tap a point: name, opening hours, address and more, where recorded.

What is on the map

For farm shops, the map shows all those in and around Bern that are recorded as a farm shop in OpenStreetMap or have that in their name, plus farm vending machines. For cafés and restaurants, it is a hand-picked selection. Tapping a point shows what is recorded, such as cuisine, organic, opening hours, phone and website.

Fresh data for your map view

When you open it, you see an extract that is rebuilt with every new version and every week. With “Load this area” (Diesen Ausschnitt laden), the app asks the Overpass API live for the current map view. Only the map area is sent, not your location. The result stays in your browser for 24 hours.

Where does the data come from?

From OpenStreetMap. No tracking. If a place is missing or something is wrong, correct it directly in OpenStreetMap.
