Background
The Museumsgrabfeld is a museum grave field of historic gravestones in the Schosshalden cemetery in Bern. It was set up in 1980 to preserve gravestones from different periods. The city's register gives no single artist for the field as a whole. The cemetery itself opened in 1877 and was later extended several times. Further background on the individual stones is not documented yet.
