Background
The untitled stone work dates from 1911 to 1912 and stands at the Schule Breitfeld, Standstrasse 61, in Bern. The Primarschulhaus Breitfeld was built in 1911 and 1912 with a caretaker's house and an attached gym hall. The building reflects the basic style of the Heimatschutz movement. Nothing reliable is yet documented about the design or origin of the stone work itself.
