Background
“Drei Figuren” is a bronze sculpture by Max Fueter from 1965. It stands at the Konservatorium Bern, Rathausgasse 35, in front of the Aula. Max Fueter (1898–1983) was a Swiss sculptor, draughtsman and watercolourist, born in Konolfingen and died in Bern. On the same building, his fountain “Der Flötenspieler” (The Flute Player) stands under an arcade on the rear façade, erected in 1940; the city had held a competition for it in 1938, which Fueter won.
