Background
“Dort hinten lauert der Sommer und droht mit dem Herbst.” is part of the series Nischen by Tine Melzer, an enamelled metal work at Militärstrasse 41 in Bern, made in 2023. The series is a set of 90 enamel panels, spread across the urban space along seven walks. Some texts name threatened plants, animals and fungi that are rare in the city. According to the artist, each reader finds the meaning of the sentences individually.
