How it works

  1. Pick who the help is for: adults, a child, teeth, mental health and crisis, or no health insurance or papers.
  2. For adults, pick: see a doctor without an appointment, get advice by phone first, or minor complaints for the pharmacy.
  3. Call the right place with the button or go there.
Arzt heute on a phone.

First: is life at risk?

Then always call 144. The number is at the top of the page as a button you can tap to call directly. Arzt heute is for everything else.

Which places does the app show?

For example the walk-in clinics City Notfall PostParc, Notfall Sonnenhof and Hirslanden Klinik Permanence, usually open every day until 10 pm. Also the children's emergency unit at the Inselspital, the dental emergency service for the Bern region, Die Dargebotene Hand and the psychiatric emergency service for the Bern region (UPZ). For minor complaints, the app takes you to “Jetzt offen”, which shows open pharmacies on a map. Take your health insurance card and a list of your medicines to the walk-in clinic.

Where does the information come from?

Each place names its source, such as the Inselspital emergency page or the clinic's website, and the date it was last checked. The page does not make a diagnosis, it only shows the way. Check numbers and hours before you go. No tracking, your choices stay on your device.
