How it works

1. At the top, pick the day: today, tomorrow or one of the following weekdays.
2. Tap “Free only” if you only want to see offers that cost nothing.

What each card shows

Time, price, who the offer is for and the address. What is on right now is marked “now”, and what has already finished is marked “over”. Examples are the Sleeper Gassenküche (street kitchen) with a warm dinner, La Prairie, the Treffpunkt Azzurro, the City of Bern's Sunday meal at Dock 8 and the Ökumenischer Mittagstisch St. Marien (ecumenical lunch table). Some offers are open to everyone without registering, others are for specific groups.

Cheaper groceries

Further down are the Caritas-Markt Bern, where food and hygiene products are cheaper with a KulturLegi or shopping card, and Tischlein deck dich. For that you need a customer card (Kundenkarte), which you apply for at a social services office (Sozialfachstelle).

Where does the information come from?

The main source is the City of Bern's leaflet “Uf dr Gass” (PINTO), plus the providers' own websites. Each card shows its source and the date it was checked. Times and prices change, especially during the holidays. A quick call is worth it.
