Swap, give away, second-hand: Kreislauf in Bern
What you no longer need, someone else might. Kreislauf Bern shows you where in Bern you can give things away, swap them, buy second-hand or drop off clothes.

How it works
- At the top, switch on the groups: Give-box / food sharing, Second-hand / Brockenhaus or Clothes collection.
- Tap “Nearest point” (Nächster Punkt). The app shows the distance and the walking route with walking time.
- Tap a point to see the name, operator and, if recorded, the opening hours.

What is on the map
For example, you will find the Bärner Brocki, Emmaus Bern Brockenhaus & Communauté, the Lorraine Brocki and clothes collections by Texaid or Tell-Tex. The number next to each group shows how many points there are.
Public fridges
Under “Data and notes” (Daten und Hinweise) you will find the Madame Frigo fridges in the city of Bern, for example in the PROGR, in the Länggasse library or in the Berner Generationenhaus. They are also on the map. You bring spare food that is still good to eat and take something yourself. Fruit, vegetables and bread, among other things, are allowed. Meat, fish, alcohol and opened or processed products are not. Volunteers from the neighbourhood look after each fridge.
Where does the data come from?
The fridges come from Madame Frigo, all other points from OpenStreetMap (ODbL). No tracking: only the routing service gets your location, and only the start and end of the walk.
