Background
The untitled bronze work stands at the Schosshaldenfriedhof, Ostermundigenstrasse 116, in Bern, and its artist is unknown. The cemetery opened in 1877 in place of the Rosengarten and was later enlarged several times. At about 16.8 hectares, it is the largest cemetery in the city of Bern.
