Why Bärn Kit works without accounts, ads or tracking
You open a map and see the nearest fountain. That's all it takes. So Bärn Kit doesn't ask for your name and doesn't count what you look at.

No account needed
All apps work without signing in. You only need an account if you want to write something on the Hilfe-Brett (help board). Then you get a code by email; there is no password. Reading works without an account.
What is stored
There are no cookies and no third-party analytics tools. We only count ourselves: once a day per app, your device sends the app name, without any identifier. For the “Like” heart we store the app name, +1 or −1 and the time. If you report a status on site, a random number is added, no name. Your language choice and similar settings stay in your browser. You can delete them there at any time.
And your location?
The maps only ask for it when you tap “Nearest fountain” or a similar button. For the walking route, only the routing service gets the start and end point. Bärn Kit itself does not store IP addresses.
Ads?
Bärn Kit is a private, non-commercial project. On the home page there is a box labelled “Anzeige” (ad). It shows übrig, our own project, and organisations whose data the apps use. The cards in it are plain links. Nothing is counted.
